Position: Job Developer

Location: Rio Arriba/Taos/Los Alamos and Santa Fe Counties

Monday-Friday, Non-exempt, 40 Hours/Week with Benefits

Position Reports to:  Job Developer Coordinator

  

Duties: (Other duties may be assigned)

This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of job placements, higher education and social service activities with the partnership of local businesses, colleges and organizations.  This position also helps clients find and keep competitive employment that is consistent with their vocational goals. Primary focus is to implement apprenticeship partnerships to increase job sustainability with the support of HELPNM Programing.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

Associates Degree in Social Service related fields, and two (2) progressive years of experience in all aspects of either employment and/or training programs, social services and/or with the low income population.  Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Salary:  $37,440 ($18.00 per hour)

Position: Toddler Teacher

Location: Deming, New Mexico

McPherson Center

Position Reports to:   Lead Teacher

Duties: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Responsible for the overall health, safety, and quality of care and education for toddlers; 18-36 months of age. Will plan, prepare, and develop classroom curriculum; and interact with children in activities to promote social, physical, and cognitive growth appropriate to the child’s developmental stage.
  • Will carry out classroom activities in conformance with the Head Start Performance Standards, as well as other program standards, policies and procedures.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a New Mexico Child Development Credential (CDC) or Associates Degree in Early Childhood or willing to obtain
  • 1-year experience working with children ages birth – 5 years of age
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Current Driver’s License, First Aid/CPR Certifications
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs

Position Reports to:   Rainbow Center Manager

 

Duties: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Responsible for preparing, purchasing, storing and serving food in accordance with USDA/CACFP and New Mexico Environmental Division and other related child nutrition policies and procedures. 
  • Must possess skills and ability to adapt to daily fast-paced food service environment for young children and work cooperatively and supportively with center staff.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Food Handler’s Manager Certification or Willing to Obtain
  • Minimum of 1-year food service experience; cooking for children preferred
  • Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish) Preferred
  • Valid New Mexico’s Driver’s License
