Position: Career Navigator

Career Navigators are responsible for outreach activities including identifying and recruiting eligible participants and meeting enrollment, placement and other common measures dictated by the Department of Labor. Services may include assessment, counseling, career development, training referrals, support services, job referral, job placement, and business/employer development activities all to be accomplished in partnership with the team of Community Support Advocates and Job Developers.

Position: WIOA Quality Compliance Coordinator

Location:  Albuquerque

Position Reports to:   Vice President of Strategy & Community Engagement (OSCE)

Duties:

As the supervisor of the Quality Compliance Monitors, this position ensures proper program stewardship and monitoring for compliance requirements for the WIOA Program. Work performance is achieved through assistance, evaluation and quality of performance delivery in order to determine if the WIOA program is operating in compliance with the statutes, regulations, and guidance in a manner that will ensure successful achievement of the approved program goals and outcomes.  This position will supervise WIOA Quality Compliance Monitors’ work for accuracy and ability to track performance standard achievements, while periodically analyzing and monitoring file and systems to ensure regulatory/contract compliance for WIOA contracts. This team provides continuous support to allow program staff to focus on customers and program delivery. The job will involve periodic travel to operational sites and some occasional overnight stays and conference attendance.

Position: Vocational Instructor for YouthBuild

Location: Espanola, New Mexico

Position Reports to:   Program Coordinator for YouthBuild

This position will ensure YouthBuild participants (ages 16 through 24) are prepared and pass all modules of the selected construction trades curriculum.  The instructor will also teach and oversee young adults in the performance of tasks related to rehabilitation and/or construction of affordable housing and other civic service projects and provide supportive guidance and encourage the development of academic, life management and personal growth skills.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of methods and skills in the use of carpentry equipment, materials, and tools, and common hazards and necessary safety precautions required.

Proven ability to present and provide instruction in areas related to remodeling and new construction.

Ability to relate to, lead, and instruct populations of young adults ages 16 – 24.

Passion for working with young people of diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds to reorient their lives, develop leadership skills, and make a difference in their community.

OSHA certified with first aid and CPR training required within 30 days of hire.

 

Preferred Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management.

Minimum of three years professional journey-level construction experience working with all elements of housing construction required. 

Skilled at reading and interpreting instructions, diagrams, sketches, and blueprints.

Position: Community Support Advocate

Position: Lead Teacher

Location: Columbus, New Mexico

Position Reports to:   Regional Manager

 

Duties: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Plan, prepare, and develop classroom curriculum and carry out all classroom activities which includes supervision of children and working with families
  • Responsible for the overall health, safety, quality of care and education for children, record-keeping and reporting.
  • Overall management and oversight of the licensed facility and its’ staff, children, parents, and community served.
  • Supervise, mentor, assist and train center staff accordingly.
  • Adheres and maintains all federal, state, and agency program standards at the center level.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or a Child Development Associate (CDA) or New Mexico Child Development Certificate (NM-CDC)
  • A minimum of two-years’ experience in an early childhood setting
  • Experience in coordination of services, management of space and supervisory
  • Current Driver’s License, First Aid/CPR certifications
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
