HELPNM supplies more than a ton of food each week to eligible individuals and families, minimizing their food insecurity. Our food assistance expands limited budgets so people can afford to pay for unexpected medical needs and/or car repairs while still being able to pay for their basic needs such as school supplies, transportation to a job, rent, and utilities.
We also connect individuals to existing food programs within their communities.
HELPNM also offers sponsorship and participation in Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for day care centers, before- and after-school programs, and centers for at-risk and homeless teens. CACFP reimburses centers for the meals that feed children under their care.
