Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Purpose and Goal:
To assist in providing input in the planning, budgeting, coordinating, and monitoring of HELP-NM’s CSBG program(s) in promoting economic opportunity in the pursuit of better health, education, welfare, dignity, and self-determination for low-income families, migrant/seasonal agricultural workers and their children as appropriate in the eight-county area Bernalillo, Colfax, Las Alamos, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Santa Fe, Taos and Torrance and any other county as may be identified in the future.
To carry on and support business, education, training, social work, or activities in accordance with State/Federal OCS/CSBG, Regulations. All Board involvement will be coordinated by Area Project Coordinators as appropriate. The kinds of functions to be carried out for CSBG will be a HELP-NM Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Board decision. Staff are responsible for assisting members with material, localities, and other aids as they are available.
