Farmworkers make vital contributions to the economy and to our communities all over the state, so Help New Mexico has partnered with the Office of Economic Empowerment (OEE) to bring in the National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP).
Here at Help New Mexico, we know that self-sufficiency is key to improving the quality of life not just for individual families, but for entire communities. Seasonal migrant farmworkers are often unsure of what’s coming next for them, and therefore, what’s coming next for their families. That’s where the NFJP steps in.
The program works directly with farmworkers to provide job training and job development so that they can secure employment with the higher wages that ever more necessary in today’s world.
